The Scribble Print

Okay. I know what you might be thinking. Katherine. This is a far cry from your happy and bright floral prints. Are you depressed? No. I've just been noticing a lot of this scribble print lately. The scribble print is all about organic shapes and textures. I found a lot of it looks like it was inspired by the work of Basquiat and I really like the look of the hand-rendered scribble. Yeah if it's done in black and white, sure, it can look a tad morose. But imagine a black and red scribble print combo. I don't think I could handle that.  I found a coloured example of it too that exudes joy and happiness. So there. A scribble print for all emotions!

Gap - They've got it going on

Okay. So. Is it just me, or have you noticed the last few seasons at the Gap have been pretty lacklustre? I remember two years ago almost hyperventilating every time I went into a Gap. That love for me then faded over this past year, but it's back now. I just found myself browsing their transitional fall items and boy oh boy- is it good.

Faith restored! There is hope for Gap after all!

It's Eva- She's back. Not in Pog form

Hey look, it's Eva! And she's in the most lovely patterned romper.  When we met up to work on our blogs, she was wearing this cute little number and I couldn't resist forcing her to be back on the blog. Please check out those cute teal t-strap flats of hers. I would steal them if they were not quite literally half my size.

July | Online shopping carts

Okay. I have this problem where I constantly go to the same websites and place the same items into my shopping cart. And then I'll stare at the items- and think. Should I or shouldn't I buy it. I literally do this everyday. It's become a real problem. So I've decided to share my recent shopping cart obsessions with you. Maybe you can help me decide. Because this is killing me.

I mean how cute are these shorts? And hello. Sale. My only concern is how mini is the short?

So this is definitely my colour. The entire ensemble is gorgeous however I can do just with the short.
And it's on sale. I think that last time I visited Zara just ruined me. I haven't seen a good Zara
sale in quite some time. So I'm pretty excited.

Okay. I am actually obsessed with the idea of owning these.

I mean look how cute.

I'm obsessed with the mixed metallic sandals lately. Gap had a similar pair that I would stare at obsessively in my shopping cart too but then they sold out.
Then I found these!

These are also TDF.

Oh God. The more I write about all this stuff the more I want it all.
Someone save me from myself.

Black & White & Flowies

Hi again! Introductions are in order. This is my best friend Katarina, who I've known my whole life. She's awesome. I visited Katarina in Ottawa this past weekend. And first thing we did was go shopping. But I almost feel like that's given. I convinced her to buy these flowies (the pants). At first she was a bit hesitant but after much reassurance, she was finally convinced that yes, she can pull them off! And my gosh she looks super cute in them!

Post Vacation Treat

Just when I thought I would be back to the regular schedule, I go up north and I'm without Internet for days. My apologies. But I'm back now and photos are back in full swing. Being back from vacation means I have more time to focus on this blog of mine. Ah yes, vacation. Let's get to that. While on vacation I thought I would be shopping like crazy. I thought I would be buying crazy cute things left, right and centre. I soon came to realize that I have a sweet deal back home. Talk about expensive. With the exchange rate I would have been insane to spend all my money on clothes in Europe, when I can buy stuff at home for waaaaay cheaper. So as soon as I got home, I went shopping-and this is what happened.

Zara is what happened. The top and pallazo pants (flowies, as I like to call them) are both from Zara. I went a bit mental at Zara. But that's okay, because it's my birthday soon. And a girl's got to treat herself. No?

This amazing little briefcase/laptop bag I bought in England. I scored it for a cool £4 at a vintage fair. And admission was £2 so I grand total of £6. I think I won big on that one.

Thrifted Icelandic Find

Okay. I know I promised updates on my Icelandic thrifting mission. And I hate to admit defeat-so I'm not going to. Unfortunately I did not find a cheap enough sweater in a thrift shop, because all the ones in Reykjavik were priced at just under $200! Talk about gauging tourists. However! I did score an amazing, amazing purse. So Iceland did not totally defeat me after all.

The bag! This gorgeous satchel that includes a cute little lock and key cost me 400 Krona or at the current exchange rate a whopping $3.76. I actually debated whether or not to purchase it. I don't know what was wrong with me. I think I was so upset by the sweater fiasco, I was not thinking properly. But yes this has quickly become my new favourite bag.
